salmon of delight

i know what you're thinking. if you're not a fan of fish, you may not appreciate this so much. i have been adoring of fish and shrimp and crab and lobster and most recently sushi, but having lacked any cooking skills for the first 22 years of my life- i was sliiiightly intimidated by the idea of taking that chance and cooking up some salmon frenzy.

so i finally did, and used THIS recipe. and it was DEEEEELICIOUS! If i do say so myself.

so here you go, Maple Salmon (of delight):

INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 pound salmon

DIRECTIONS
In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic, garlic salt, and pepper.
Place salmon in a shallow baking dish, and coat with the maple syrup mixture. Cover the dish, and marinate salmon in the refrigerator 30 minutes, turning once.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven, and bake salmon 20 minutes, or until easily flaked with a fork.

I of course, varied this a bit, as I'm not a huge direction follower. but if anyone is interested, i say give it a whirl!
