hit the gym.

after going home recently and seeing my entire family on diets (namely weight watchers) and successfully collectively losing up to 60 pounds, i've come to realize that i may be doomed to the land of midsection-tire land. and so, i've signed my life over to the gym. yesterday i spent 50 minutes doing cardio and 20 minutes of lifting weights. my arms now feel like noodles. that's okay though, because i'll just work on lower body tonight!
i just wish i had a chatty workout partner (like the good old days) to make the grueling work out time go by...

current song:

These tears stain the wood Like cups and condensation I am bound to you I cannot break the situation He's every subject Of every song Like the wind carries He moves me along And the shadows I can't run from They won't let me go He's the ending of a story That I'll never know

good grief.

good news: no surgery in the near future for me!
bad news: the radiology clinic screwed up my appointment, then made it look like i was late, then made me wait for nearly two hours. grr. the medical world hates me.
meanwhile, the air conditioning broke down in my office building over the weekend.. leaving the office at about one thousand degrees of sweltering heat. no fans. just hot muggy air. i think my brain is slowly dying. or maybe it's my functioning limbs.
either way, i'm switching deodorants.
